Prerequisites: knit, purl, cast on and off.

Materials: US 2 (2.75mm) for fingering weight or US 5 (3.75mm) for DK. Small circular, DPNs or straight needles work well. At least 3 colors of scrap yarn in any amount, stitch markers and the pattern.
