Celtic Cables Scarf Pattern

Celtic cables scarf, is a combination of a center motif and smaller cables on the edges. The intricate cables create a detailed and beautiful design that is unisex in nature. It is not a reversible pattern but the backside is interesting with mainly stockinette visible.
The gauge is looser than recommended for the yarn, on size #10.5 (6.5mm) needles, because this gives the scarf more softness and drape. For our sample, we used 3 skeins of Juniper Moon Farm's Herriot Great yarn (about 380-390 yds), which is deliciously soft and fuzzy, but any yarn of a similar weight can be substituted.
